From lifting out and scrubbing down to boat building, engine overhaulsand sail repair, Cowes boasts a comprehensive network of local specialist firms employing skilled craftsmen who are equipped and ready to deal with both routine work and emergencies. Boat sales and chartering are also available.




The Isle of Wight has something to suit all interests and nowhere is very far away. Rambling and cycling in the beautiful countryside for the more energetic, leisurely tours of historic buildings such as Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle and Mottistone Manor, Ventnor Botanic Gardens and for the family, Blackgang Chine and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway just have to be on the itinerary.

Trade launches, exhibitions or special presentations are equally invited to Cowes' superb waterside location where on the water hospitality and fun can be profitably combined with serious business ashore.

Cowes Combined Clubs and some of the individual yacht clubs such as the Royal Yacht Squadron and the Island Sailing Club are able to offer a tailored results service depending on the level required.

Out of season rates are applicable to a number of marine services. Some, such as berthing in the Yacht Haven can be particularly attractive, and an entire range of facilities can be negotiated at very favourable rates. Similarly the Business Association can supply details of those shops which are able to offer discounts on a range of goods.

There are a number of yacht clubs and commercially independent bodies which can provide complete packages tailored to specific needs. This might include full planning and administration, booking of berths, racing programmes and all shore-side activity to dispersal.
